Duplex

This is a rare Aziza duplex.  Most prefer to live far from the crowds, but some enjoy the company of friends and even strangers.

Palmer Park's first Aziza door was a castle by Lake Francis.  the castle still stands near the log cabin. You can see the cabin in the background in this photo.

While we don't know for sure, we imagine that when Aziza first came to Detroit they felt that they needed stone walls for safety.  Now they have simple (or elaborate) wooden doors.

We don't think that anyone is living in the castle just now, but there certainly could be....  Aziza are quite shy, so just because you don't see them does not mean that they are not right in front of you.

While exploring the Aziza castle you can turn to your right and there in the lake is the lighthouse.  Now you might notice that this lake is too small for humans to need a lighthouse when they cross.  Perhaps this is another early Aziza remnant?  Or maybe it still hosts Aziza families.

If you visit the fountain which is closer to the corner of Merrill Plaisance and Woodward you will notice that there are places that Aziza might reside.  We expect that the fountain was originally a giant pool for their annual celebration, but others claim that the fountain used to be downtown near city hall.  Either way, we can certainly imagine a crowd of Aziza splashing and having fun.  If you happen to get some pictures of them, please let us know!

The Aziza alphabet only has three letter - A - Z - I .  If you hear them with your eyes open they sound like buzzing bees because almost every old is full of Z's.  When you close your eyes you can understand their stories much better.
